White clover honey is a unifloral honey produced primarily from the nectar of white clover flowers. It is characterized by a delicate and sweet taste, with a fine and slightly floral aroma and a generally light color.
White clover honey is very versatile in cooking and can be used as a natural sweetener for tea, herbal teas, and other beverages, or spread on bread, rusks, or toast. It is also ideal for desserts and baked goods and, thanks to its delicate flavor, it lends itself to accompanying different types of cheese without covering the taste.
Nutritionally, honey is naturally rich in simple sugars and contains small amounts of minerals and antioxidant compounds. Like other types of honey, it can also be used to sweeten drinks and soothe the throat.
Pairing Ideas:
Its delicate taste makes it perfect with fresh and creamy cheeses, such as ricotta, robiola or stracchino, but it is also excellent with a light goat cheese.
A simple but unique idea is to use it to make honey-thyme glazed carrots, perfect as a side dish: the honey creates a light caramelization and the thyme adds an aromatic note.
Any crystallization is a guarantee of quality. To return the honey to its fluid state, dissolve in a bain-marie no later than 40°.
